3 The README is used to introduce the module and provide instructions on
4 how to install the module, any machine dependencies it may have (for
5 example C compilers and installed libraries) and any other information
6 that should be provided before the module is installed.
3XAS is a set of modules, procedures and practices to help write
4consistent Perl5 code for a datacenter operations environment. For the most
5part, this follows the Unix tradition of small discrete components that
     6communicate in well defined ways.
    77
8 A README file is required for CPAN modules since CPAN extracts the README
9 file from a module distribution so that people browsing the archive
10 can use it to get an idea of the module's uses. It is usually a good idea
11 to provide version information here so that people can decide whether
12 fixes for the module are worth downloading.
8This system is cross platform capable. It will run under Windows as well
9as Unix like environments without a code rewrite. This allows you to
10write your code once and run it where ever.
    1311
12This code is based on a production system that has been running for over
1310 years. It incorporates the accumulated knowledge of running a
     14distributed system, written in Perl5.

    1212Description: Middelware for Datacenter Operations
    1313 .
14  XAS is middleware for datacenter operations written in Perl5. It provides
15  standardized methods, modules  and philosophy for constructing the
16  application needed to manage a datacenter.
14 XAS is middleware for datacenter operations written in Perl5. This
15 package provides the spooling modules. This will monitor spool
16 directories and send the files to a message queue server as messages.
